When I was a child, I believed (led by the media,parents, etc) that the GREAT SOCIETY didn't include me. I am a WHITE MALE, so, if it didn't include WHITE MALES, who could it have included?

The point is that I didn't let the non-inclusion into the concept of a GREAT SOCIETY stop me.

That LBJ was raised in a time and place where the mental framework of WHITE MALES was that all BLACKS were somehow inferior, lower class, and unacceptable to the Great Society, is very possible. He was from Texas. That idea was very popular in Texas and it took time to pass away. That his Great Society approach may not have had racist implications, but been related to education, training, and being a US citizen, is something that the media and the populace in general has ignored. No matter, he couldn't entirely escape his prejudices. I find that I can't entirely escape mine. What is taught to you when very young, stays, no matter how much your logic and education later tells you how wrong it is.

I still believe that the failure of a person or a segment of the population to achieve cannot be blamed on anyone else entirely.

We are in NYC - seeing the image of the Twin Towers is so heartbreaking - but the double image with Clinton is so sickly connected and horrendously tied in with his disfunction and shows where he led this nation.

You are right. I have not driven that route, though I have flown over it.

It is likely that in the future, more billboards will appear.
Lady Bird's plan will have been lost along the wayside as corporate profits and those that would profit from renting the space override concerns for uncluttered landscapes.

Moral decay has been creeping into our society for a long time.

The development of speech gave man the ability to lie.
Evil is, in a sense, the refusal of God's grace.
We must also remember that Bill Clinton is the product of our country, our society.
He is a warning of what could happen to our children.
Our education of children has deteriorated.
The heroes of our children are pimps and ho's.
Thuggin' is a new job classification.
No one is encouraged to bother to learn the English language, proper spelling, or even math.
They are being drawn to the LCD. Lowest Common Denominator.

Fortunately, all things in life are on a sine wave and the curve is turning back up.

If you lived in another country, your view of the people of the US would probably be from American TV stations. A view that shows us as a bunch of GODLESS, THANKLESS, MINDLESS immoral, money-hungry, materialistic airheads.
Is it any wonder they despise us?
