I was rereading some of the information on lacipeterson.com and wondered if it was ever made public how much the couple grossed from selling "The Shack" in SLO. I had also read somewhere the past four months that they had declared bankruptcy...but I didnt see it on that long narrative. Can anyone recall hearing this, or perhaps I heard it on some talk show.
Also, the title of the thread was what was reported on KCAL9 news yesterday on the first report...later they clarified he was arrested in San Diego...I think its pretty interesting he was in custody four hours (11am to 3pm) before the news broke. If it were in Orange County, I am sure Sheriff Carona would call his own press conference.

You in Burbank? We lived in LA all last year (Claremont). Went to Burbank a lot. You mentioned Sheriff Carona. I remember when those two girls were kidnapped last year. That same night my youngest son, 18, and I had just driven past that spot on our way up Hwy 5 to Magic Mtn. and back home again. I think it was about Hwy 14/ Lancaster turn off. That was one scary event! I wonder how those two girls are. I know they were lucky to live through that. Met a lot of great Freepers in LA last year. We enjoyed "freeping" Gray Davis a lot!!!!!!!! I hear that most of Calif. wants Davis out now. We tried to tell them, didn't we?

Didn't mean to insult you on the title - you were the FIRST to bring us this news. I couldn't believe how long it took for everyone else (cable news, etc.) to confirm it. The facts as to where he was arrested - it's that whole "fog of war" stuff. I just think it's funny that it still says that and wasn't corrected by an admin mod....

What's underlying your question about what they sold their house for in SLO? Something to do with a money angle? If you knew their address, you could look up the closing price of that property, but of course that wouldn't tell you how much they netted on it. I'm curious what you're thinking about this?
On a related note, someone posted--can't remember who--that nbc reported that Scott had 10k cash and his brother's ID on him when he was arrested. I can't find that article in print anywhere--i checked nbc, msnbc, and cnbc. Anybody have a reference for that? thanks
