Sean Penn's stolen car found, guns missing

Sean Penn's stolen 1987 Buick Grand National has been recovered by police, but two guns that were inside the car remain missing.

The car was found Saturday in Richmond, about nine miles from the Berkeley street where it was stolen Tuesday.

A loaded 9mm Glock handgun and a .38-caliber Smith and Wesson revolver that were left inside the car haven't been found, Richmond police Sgt. Enos Johnson said.

The three-time Academy Award nominee had a concealed weapons permit for the guns, police said.

No one was in the vehicle when it was recovered, and no suspects have been arrested in the case, police said. The limited-edition Buick did not appear to be damaged, Johnson said.

The car was stolen off a busy Berkeley street while Penn and his assistant ate lunch at Venus restaurant.

Penn lives in Marin County with his wife, actress Robin Wright Penn, and their two children. He's expected to begin shooting a new film called "The Assassination of Richard Nixon" in Oakland next month.

That has to be very surreal: a peacenik actor with guns, stolen in Bezerkely, of all places!

I'm shocked that Sean Penn, leftist, peace activist, non-violent guy that he is, would have guns! Oh my! (sarcasm off)

Damnable leftists are such complete hypocrites. They reserve rights for themselves that they actively work to take away from everyone else.

Even worse, he's driving an '87 Buick Grand National?! How much gas does that use?! And how much pollution does it create?! And how badly is his career going that he has to drive an '87 Buick?

Hell, I used to have an '85 Buick, and even I traded up to a '93 Saturn a few years ago. Sean needs to spend less time buddying up to terrorists and more time looking for a new agent.

One wonders if there isn't more to this than meets the eye.

I wonder too. If one of the guns is used in a violent crime, would he support a lawsuit against himself for negligence?

I had read another account of this in which it was stated that Mr. Penn had a concealed carry permit.

Very interesting. Here's a man with known for his fly-off-the handle temper and he has a CCW permit. You would think that the sheriff (or whoever issues these permits) would think twice before approving one for this guy, but apparenttly in southern California, if you are a VIP you gets what you wants.

Oops, I see that the fact that he has a CCW permit appears in this account, too. Gotta quit skimming these articles.

Also, apparenttly = apparently

KEWL!

Maybe he can replace his side arms on "Buy a Gun for Michael Moore Day," April 15! Lost the FR link to this but the following is the text:

rantblogger: Let's not lose the Baghdad momentum and let's turn April 15 from a day of dread to a day of amusement and annoying the anti-2nd Amendment folk.

Help promote "Buy a Gun for (to spite) Michael Moore Day, April 15"

As featured in Moorewatch.com:
Grassroots blogger counter-holiday:
Buy a Gun for (to spite) Michael Moore Day, April 15

Pass it along to your favorite blogs and email friends. In the vein of Meryl Yourish's "Eat an animal for PETA day."

Just think that there may be thousands more guns in the hands of responsible Second Amendment-loving citizens BECAUSE of Michael Moore!!!!

Just imagine his nightmares that thousands more guns are purchased in reaction to him. My guess is that his actions may cause more guns to get into in the hands of more Americans than he intended his movie to take away!

Let me know if you add a link or an article.

Watch...
Pvt. Jessica Lynch wont be able to obtain an CCW in her own state let alone CALIFORNIKATA

How many of the POWs or the returning wounded or their familes could get a CCW in California
Yet here is this Hollywood piece of ANTI-AMERICAN scumbag...douchebag who not only gets a CCW but gets one after domestic abuse charges...(beating Madona...though technically that may be a matter for abuse of farm animals of wildlife management) Also Penn physically assaulted a few reporters...

I also read that Bobbie DiNero also got his CCW in under 24hrs in NYC

Again when the new batch of disabled Vets returns ...how many will be allowed to protect their own families and homes with firearms...
No problem carrying them in Iraq to protect Iraqi familes ...but not their own....
Hmmmm some freedom...
