That's precisely what Mr. Mew said, that Mr. Cardinal had ulterior motives...

"Looting is the first stage of shopping" -- something very fundamental about that. And it's why people prefer to shop, given the alternative, yet until some nieghbor or friend has the thing -- by hook or crook -- they wouldn't be shopping for it.
"Looting rubbish" -- Yeesh, that's what yard sales are for.

From Tony Snow's "Below the Fold" on Fox Sunday:
He reports about Jane Fonda. Quotes her as saying
"Americans are so ignorant of reality and of world history".
I swear, when I was in France for 3 weeks in October, that is EXACTLY what all the Europeans said to us! Word for word.

Does that mean Fonda is French? Explains a lot, doesn't it?

That guy (Syrian Ambassador) is one scary dude. He looks like he'd as soon slit the throat of the press interviewer than sit there and talk to them!
To: Trust but Verify
Yeah, I kept thinking he was going to whip out his knife and get Timmy Russert,,Makes me think Syria will be next and he sees the writing on the wall. Wonder if they will get Baghdad Bob to work for them. Does anyone know where Bag Bob is? The thread on his sayings is funny.

Wankertown Compost lead article this morning.
"How the War Was Won Miscues, confusion and unexpected successes shaped successful plan."
IOW the plan only worked because of dumb blind luck. Rummy's restraint is amazing. Any moment I expect to hear that one of the unfortunate casualties of the war was that a plane accidently lost a 500lb bomb over their HQs building. Hey - we said that the war zone was dangerous.

Good morning, Situation Room! The sun is shining and our POW's were found ALIVE and WALKING! That is amazing! Seems I've used that word a whole lot more in the past 3 weeks then I have in my whole life.
Timeout, your story about the birds was so cute! When my parents had thier house they had the biggest squirrels and birds because my dad fed them constantly. I have never seen squirrels as big as the ones in my parents yard! The poor new owners were probably attacked when they didn't feed them like my dad used to.
Carolina, I'm sorry to hear about your bird. Pets are like members of the family. I'm glad your other parrot is doing well.

The guy from Canada's National Post said the Marine unit that rescued our POWs was from Twenty-Nine Palms, California.

Yep, coming this spring when the weather clears: The Mother of All Iraq Yard Sales.

Good, I'm glad we scare the world. North Korea has been quiet and any time now I imagine the Iranian Minister will call and want to do lunch.

He certainly is one angry man..every time I see an interview with him he's always in a fighting mood.
I wish there was some way to keep members of Saddam's regime from finding safe-haven in any country..they need to be held accountable. And with the probability of Saddams" WMD's being smuggled into Syria, this is going to get messy.
