Agree. The article didn't go into detail.
But it said the landlord was applying for relief to the State Dept and U.N. He prolly won't get anything due to confusion as to whether combover represented "the government of Iraq", given there is NO gov't of Iraq at the moment. That's what you get for renting to scumbags.

I have to share a personal moment with y'all.
Every morning I feed bread to the birds on my deck. If I forget, there's a cardinal hen who "peeps" at me until I throw them bread.
Well, this morning I remembered, but only threw out a litte because I was watching TV. Just glanced out and realized they had eaten it all, so I was getting up to throw more.
The female cardinal was standing on the deck, looking for food, when right before my eyes, the beautiful red male came hopping into view. He had a crumb in his beak, hoppped right over to her, and gave the bread TO HER.
It was touching. Now, back to the war.......

I suggest we haven't even begun to see the implications of all this...Particularly in the case of Syria which will be surrounded by Turkey, a U.S. led Iraq (at least for now and later with a U.S. military presence probably), and Israel.

Glorious morning here and in the war,,what a great Palm Sunday. Birds singing, cool weather, POW's free,,,this is just incredible. syrian ambassador looking like a snake on Meet the Press!
To: Timeout
"timeout"s for the beauty of life is always welcome. Thank you.
To: null and void
That Syrian ambassador spins real good. Trouble is, he's spun so much his brain is dizzy.
To: Green
You beat me to it with your "aww",,I had two parrots till the male died last summer. those two were bonded but would fight over a crumb,,the female took it from the male everytime. She was a "take charge" bird. When the male died it was horrid, She keened. His last words to me were "hi bird",,then he died. It was like losing a relative. But not an ounce of altruism in those two.
