I haven't watched CNN for more than five minutes during this entire war. I went back and forth between Fox and MSNBC depending on who the anchors were. Same here, while I've been at home, anyway. My mother is recuperating in a hospital after knee-replacement surgery, and the hospital only gets CNN for its news channel (which is adding to her misery!). I've seen an hour here and there of CNN's coverage over the past week or so... it seems that no matter what time I visit, Wolf Blitzer is always on, and the reporting is full of long faces and gloom and doom... a sharp contrast to Fox News.
MSNBC isn't too bad lately, especially with the addition of Joe Scarborough, Mike Savage and their "tribute wall" to the troops. The anchor who used to be with ESPN (can't think of his name) isn't too bad either, from what I've seen.
Somehow, some way, we've GOT to get CNN out of those airports and hospitals!
I couldn't agree more about getting them out of hospitals and airports. Took my daughter to lunch at the Boomerang Grill (sports grill) here in Norman the other day and they had on Fox News! Wanted to cheer!
The few times I turned to CNN I got Wolf and Wesley Clark -- don't think they got any sleep! That did it for me.
I love Joe's new show and he is going to have on an MRC rep tonight to discuss this deal on CNN. That should be good. I loved Michael Savage on there last night. At least MSNBC seems to be trying and their military analyst except for McCaffrey have been top rate. I liked the fact they had models of the different airplanes that they could show when discussing them.
Something needs to happen to CNN over this -- wonder what else they have been covering up. I noticed two articles about the OKC Bombing last night on here and both tied in Saddam. I have always thought he clintons covered up the Murrah Bombing. I believe McVeigh did blow up the truck but I also believe he had foreign help!
This could get interesting!
