I distinctly remember Bush saying one of the coalition's goals/aims was to keep intact IRAQI BORDERS. Kirkuk is well within the Iraqi border. So, what's the turk's confusion here? Kirkuk is Iraqi soil.....it doesn't belong to Turkey.

Imagine PETA morphing into PETT...People for the Ethical Treatment of Tribbles, or ANSWER morphing into Advance Stellar Socialism, NAACP morphing into UAAGP to protest the chauvenistic treatment of green people.

Protesters chaining their little solar-powered spaceships to space station airlocks, transporting themselves naked into startled primitive alien cities that aren't ready for first contact, teaching Ferengi youth to sing Kumbaya, making Klingons attend sensitivity training seminars, demanding phaser registration and trigger locks, rousing human shields to protecting Borg cubes, etc.

None. But they think they do and there lies the problem. The funny thing is if they let us set up a Northern attack through Turkey, we wouldn't have had to rely on the Kurds so much. We need to keep Turkey out of the North until we can build up more forces there. Then we can tell them to stuff it.

Coal. Spec. Fprces supported by Kurds and 173rd Airborne...entered Kirkuk...secured, and secured oil lines....4 of gas plaints and several wells have been secured so far...this oil field like the fields in the s. a key part of Iraqi resources..

Nr. Mosul...accepted surrender...following period of bombing, close air support...cease fire signed by commander...5th corp expected to leave battlefield..many Iraqi forces have removed uniforms and walked home as we requested...

The unfortunate loss of (Cleric) we find this very disappointing. He was recognized as a leader. Re. Saddam..."While we say that the individual is not the most important (focus)...we remain consistant in (focus to remove regime and anything that props the regime up)..we'll attack (key leaders...)..some of them have occured by way fo strikes, some by air...(Saddam) is one of many that we seek to remove from power..and to be certain of it..

Another looting question from a Newsday reporter (let's give em small arms..let the people defend themselves - let the press explode - (mine)) "If the coalition simply imposed control on the population...that would NOT achieve the desired effect...at no point do we see..becoming a police force" (we take actions to achieve stability...will have help from locals, they will build own police...we focus on removing bad guys..)..

Whoa, someone's fudging the truth. It's taken me about 10 minutes to get up and get the puter running but if someone was watching BBC I'd like confirmation. BBC World and FNC both had LIVE events. FNC had Brooks in the middle of Centcom meeting but BBC was showing an empty Centcom room and their reporter was giving his report of the meeting.

Correct. Fox News reports that the suspected mobile chemical weapons truck is still being verified and there may be 7 to 15 of them.

FoxNews talking about the 55 top-most wanted Iraqis. The General implied the GWB administration has a problem with borders. They failed to close the Afg-Pak border near Tora Bora and many Al-Qaeda got through. Now, they similarly failed to close the border with Syria-Iraq where probably the Iraqi heirarchy escaped. [I could add two additional borders that the GWB administration has major problems with: US - Canada and US - Mexico.]

Perhaps Anan should read todays NYT and see how CNN kept certain aspects of Saddams rule to themselves.

Did you see monica Crowley on FOX earlier? She was saying that the russians are trying to help scientists and Iraqi officials get out of Iraq. She also said that the Russians built what's under al Tuwaitha.
