Good Morning.

This is the Daily Thread of Operation Iraqi Freedom - Situation Room - LIVE THREAD.

It is designed for general conversation about the events of the day. In depth discussion of events should be left to individual threads - but links to the threads or other articles is highly encouraged. This allows us to stay abreast of the situation in general, while also providing a means of obtaining specific information.

Please have mercy on us dial up limited FReepers! Limit the big graphics, post links instead. A brief description of what the graphic is would help!  If you post graphics, please "size" them so that our browsers continue to load the rest of the thread!

To all who helped this get started and keep it running, thank you!

Special thanks to Null and Void for keeping these threads running on the weekends, Mo1 for the screamer, the AdminMods for their tolerance, mhking for the video links, Ragtime Cowgirl for her Exclusive Live Transcription Service™, Fledermaus for his 15 minutes of fame, and, of course, Belly Girl...

Why do women pluck and then paint back their eyebrows?

Mostly because the ones that do have unibrows and then get carried away to the point that they have to paint them back on out of fear of being mistaken for Dick Gebhardt.

I don't pluck mine, since God graced me with a pair of lovely eyebrows as it is. I will cheerfully skin a deer and braintan its hide, though.

nevermind, don't answer that.

Oops. Sorry...

Of course Colmes is wrong, but it's fun.

He just said, "Communism was destined to fail and it just happened on Reagan's watch"....of course Sean points out, "oh, evil empire, tear down this wall, military buildup, forcing missles into Europe, meant nothing?"...

Colmes says, "yes"! The bankruptcy of intelligence on the left is a story that continues and should be told...it's 150 years old and growing!

I'm supposed to believe Gorbasm woke up one day and saw the light? But wasn't that the same light the left said was shining on communism, socialism, etc?

Now they are trying to tell me that they were right all along and Saddam wasn't a threat? See? they say, he's out of power. He was never a threat. All the evidence is Hollywood fakes (oh, they turn on Hollywood when it suits their purpose, otherwise Michael Moore is their genius like L. Ron Hubbard), it's not true, we are killing gazillions of women and children...

But do you cut 'em up and package 'em for freezing?

The first year we were married, my wife thought it was cool that I got a couple of deer for the freezer (I'd already introduced her to venison).

She told me last week, though (twenty-two years after the fact) that she was utterly horrified the first time we spent three hours with them (and two others friends had killed) spread all over the kitchen, while I taught her how to strip the muscle, cut it diagonally cross-grain, and freeze-wrap it in four-serving packages for the freezer. She thought she'd married some kind of savage!

Of course hospitals have been looted...so the average Iraqi can get a bandage and an aspirin they were supposed to be getting under "Oil for BS".

But it was our evil sanctions, that all the liberals demanded we pursue instead of war in 1991, they say is the problem.

I'm so happy we now can post their lies in real time across the world now.

Yeah, that's the pleasant part compared to brain tanning- finest venison steaks and roasts in the world and the jerky is awesome, too. Since I try to salvage all the sinew I can for other purposes- before and after butchering so as to get the longest- there's never any gristle and no waste.

Ever stuck four deerlegs vertically in the snow outside someone's house and then called them up to tell them Rudolph had fallen off their roof?

I guess we can start using cattle prods, power tool kneecapping, and rope torture then since that's something the America-hating leftists will approve of to restore order.
