Toward the end of the interview he talked of crossing the river and the bridge being weak so the Marines built a pontoon bridge. This is where he stated bluntly that he will always remember crossing that bridge and seeing the stream of tanks with an American flag flying. He stated it: "I felt proud. Proud of the Marines and proud to be an American".

Great post! My son is a combat engineer and loves doing the bridge thing. His unit is still waiting to be deployed. Guess Franks has the troops he needs. Glad to hear about that embedded reporter.
