MSNBC's Bob Arnott: Iraqi Hospitals Filled Children with Gunshots - From Saddam's Fedeyeen

Bob Arnott was just on MSNBC reporting that he had traveled to many of the hospitals in the area and assisted in the care for the many children in the facilities that have been struck by gunfire (he's also a doctor). He said he was unsure what the mood in the hospitals would be but found the doctors and patients to be "ecstatic" that Saddam was gone. He then said that the gunshots were all made by small caliber weapons that the U.S. Army does not have and, when he inquired further about the cause of the wounds, he was told by parents and hospital staff that the paramilitary forces were shooting kids on purpose to make it look like the U.S. forces were inflicting civilian casualties.

Very, very true. I see this phenomenon up close and personal in a few relatives of mine who consider themselves basically leftwing heroes who "care" so much more than anybody else. Projection is clearly one big factor. These very same people are also often pretty nasty, resentful people (anybody who gets in their way will pay, pay, pay) who, ironically, have been given what they want their whole lives. I find that to be another ironic characteristic of the privileged left; many of those who have led the easiest lives are the most envious and resentful of others. They attempt to package their rage and present it as being on behalf of the downtrodden, but it's not, and when you see how they act toward other, you know it's not.

Actually the Kennedy's were (Jack and Jackie). Those of us who lived through the Kennedy presidency will never forget the enormously slavish and idolatrous press coverage they got and the gazillions of photos that filled the popular magazines of the day such as Look and Life.

1) nobody can conclude that Fedayeen caused the wounds based on the size of the bullet hole.

He also talked to the parents of these children. Also by small caliber they may have meant low powered. Gun newbs always say the wrong thing.

The AR10 looks just like an m16 and fires 7.62 or .308 but I dont know if that is used at all by our military. If it is it would be more of a sniper role. The M14 fires 7.62.

Today, at his 4pm et report, he said that the 11 hospitals he checked had NO one injured from US bombings. He said he was stunned.

AND he said he met a newborn baby, NAMED GEORGE! He said the mother is happy about her liberation.
