I was out on my bike a few minutes ago and saw a small plane flying very low around in circles about two miles from my house.

I have no idea what it means.

It means he's doing "turn about a fixed point" training. Next is squares simulating downwind traffic patterns. Probably no big deal. All private pilot training does this - kinda like scales on piano.

Are you sure it was a small plane two miles away or just a mosquito buzzing about your head? :-)
