New Washington Post/ABC poll shows support for the war at 80%. [That'll gall Peter Jennings. Hope he reads it first thing in the office this morning.]

Morning Wizard. Sorry to hear the Brits are saying the locals in Basrah should be disarmed. We need to work on deprogramming these PC-infested socialists. Armed Iraqi locals could have prevented a Saddam Hussein.

Reminds me of the manzire or the bro. Uh-oh. Don't remind me of that nightmare. Ugghh.

Dr. Bob says two journalists just got hit in An Nasiryah. Preliminary info, not much more known at this time.

A couple of interesting threads...

Wasn't An Nasiriyah... somewhere else that I couldn't understand or spell if I wanted to.

Morning, prairie!
But yesterday/last night was sooo much fun here on FR, wasn't it!! ;0)
It was fun! I am sooooo sleepy today! Everyday I say, "No FReeping tonight- sleep!" Then every night I end up right back here.
I don't know if it's because the snow is all gone now and my allergies are acting up or what, but I am totally stuffed up. I think it might be my body telling me NO freeping tonight! LOL!

Re: journalists who were hit, at An Nathia or something like that. Big battle according to the Iraqi that Dr. Bob is talking to. More as it comes in.

To congratulate the Iraqi people on their Independence Day go here...
http://www.al-iraq.org/contactus.htm Aziz Al-Taee, of the Iraqi American Council, was just on Fox and Friends and he is GREAT. He said he didn't care what the "Arab Street" said. Some of his family still lives in Baghdad and the way they communicated about the war was to call it the "BIG WEDDING".

Just spotted these lines in Howard Fineman's Newsweek column. Referring to Bush's trips to military bases during this war, both to boost troop morale and his own:
From top to bottom, the U.S. military loathed his predecessor, Bill Clinton. They seem genuinely to adore Bush. I saw this on a Thanksgiving trip I took with him to Fort Campbell, home of the 101st Airborne. When he arrived to speak to a sea of Screaming Eagles, they literally were screaming. The president, wearing a bomber jacket for the occasion, beamed like a man in his element. It was like a rock concert, star and audience as one.
I won't link the whole thing...it's just the same ole, same ole...other than that quote.

That title is a little misleading. Stupid press.

This is my kind of story being a mom to an 8 and 11 year old Lab boys.
I love dogs for just what they provide to the human spirit.
Be nice to see some pics.
