Morning, prairie!

But yesterday/last night was sooo much fun here on FR, wasn't it!! ;0)

It was fun! I am sooooo sleepy today! Everyday I say, "No FReeping tonight- sleep!" Then every night I end up right back here.

I don't know if it's because the snow is all gone now and my allergies are acting up or what, but I am totally stuffed up. I think it might be my body telling me NO freeping tonight! LOL!

I wouldn't freakin' know! At 5:00 pm Baghdad time, as the tanks were in the circle, and the first two guys were climbing up on the statue, I was filling my truck with gas for my 16-hour trip!! I have sat at this computer for about 20-22 hours out of every single day for a week, and the one day I had to be on the road, THE STATUE CAME DOWN !!

As I was driving, listening to it live on the radio, I was talking out loud to you all... rejoicing with the Iraqi people... and so proud to be an American... wishing I had a 3' x 5' American flag to fly out my window down the highway.

I drove through two medium-sized rural towns on that trip, and both of them had their sidewalks lined with at least 100 large (4'x6') American flags. The wooden flagpoles were just stuck in small holes in the sidewalk, as if lining a parade route. Not a single flag was missing -- there was nothing keeping anyone from stealing them... but no one did. Very refreshing.

The reason I had to be on the road was for a job interview. After staying up all week, more or less, then again all night yesterday, I drove to the interview on adrenalin and Cocoa Krispies. (LOL) When my prospective employer came to get me for the interview, he sticks out his hand and asks "How are you?" I said "I'm proud to be an American. We have tanks in downtown Baghdad!!"
