More numbers here:
http://www.pollingreport.com/iraq.htm Really revealing. The only one that troubles me is the large percentage that think the U.N. should be more in charge of post-Iraq.
The interesting ones are the breakdown of support on Iraq by GOP, Dem, Independents. Dems in large number support but won't vote for Bush anyway. It's those Independents the Dems have to worry about.

Tabun, Sarin and VX gases are chemically related to parathion, a real good peaticide, just not as toxic to people. Toxic enough, though, to get it banned by the EPA. The effects are similar for all these chemicals, just more severe, especially for VX.

Where can I find the rules for this board? I'm confused on why this thread has not been moved to chat.
Some people have taken these threads over as their own personal chat sessions. While some of you try to justify it as making friends during downtimes, you are driving away people who came here for the lastest updates.
If you want to save these pages for history, you might want to think about the nonsense you are posting in a thread that is meant to honor our soliders. I've saved them all and they're not pretty.
Many people came here the first fews days of this war and they pleaded to have the graphics limited. The wonderful person who sets this up, daily asks the same thing, but you guys don't seem to care.
We all realize that there are slow times and chat fills the gap.....but you people have taken your late night jokes to a running commentary during the day. You've left nothing for the rest of us.
Please, could we have the Situation Room back?

I can't take credit for it, but -- to quote another great Freeper,
"Dad's home! Hide the bong!"

Then post stuff Krodg.
As you can see, there is another lull. The whole reason this was set up was to be 24 hours LIVE.
Can you fill 24 hours with current news that isn't happening on the war? We post, we talk, we watch, we ping, etc.
No one is "driven away"...if they can't find what they are looking for they need to check out the news websites first.
I could sit here link articles all day long.
We've had this debate for 22 days now.
If you were here yesterday, you know we almost hit 6,600 posts....almost all on the war when we were watching tanks in Baghdad.
So please, contribute.

Last I heard, Sec Rumsfeld said it would take days to verify the nature of any of the suspect materials. You are correct.
Further, I've heard conflicting reports, one of which is that pesticides were indeed found above ground, and the suspect material was buried and disguised.
I am keen on this topic as many are taking the delay in verification as debunking. Of course, certain reporters have contributed to this and given ammunition to the DU(h)ers and their ilk.

I'm sure you do have them all, I was just awed that you took the time to actually save them. Bravo for you.
I myself choose to use my time in a more constructive, anjoyable manner, in a way I find fitting to honor the soldiers..one of which is my husband...the same soldiers that have asked us to please carry on with our lives during this time. Maybe if you were reading the posts instead of bashing the room, you would have read that already.
oh well, to each his own, I will spend my day with joy and pride in my heart for these freepers and this country, and you can use your time...saving posts.

This wasn't set up to "honor the soldiers" although we do.
It was set up to have a running commentary. So it gets silly, big deal.
It's like having people over to watch a football game...do they only chat about the game? Heck no.
It's like a large living room with people coming and going at different hours of the day. Many of us have got to know each other a little and we like the banter.
Heck, you should be here at 3 or 4 am when there is nothing going on. I've posted so many consecutive stuff (mostly links and comment to articles) it's becoming my personal weblog!

We need t-shirts, "Where did you spend the Iraqi Liberation? I was Freeping!"
Oops, off topic again.
To: Mango Chutney
can any of you get the red sox game in?
I'm watching it on the other computer and I SWEAR Mike Timlin (the pitcher) is wearing some type of camoflauged shirt under his jersey....

a guy is shown being carried on a stretcher and shoots from the stretcher! they just showed it and Lester asked Craig if the guy hit what he was aiming at....Craig said yes. Hit twice he thought. Is he the one who will be getting his 3rd Purple Heart? The reporter mentioned one of those guys is. Also got one in Mogadishu.
Texasbluebell, MSNBC just replayed the video complete with White's narration. The man who has previous Purple Hearts, one from Mogadishu, is the man getting his leg treated while standing and maintaining his position, aiming his weapon, while his leg is being treated. Craig White gave his name but I didn't write it down. The guy who moved the burning truck made it---my first viewing I thought he was leaping in a burning truck, but evidently the truck near it was on fire and he was moving this vehicle to keep it from being lost, too.
And they played again the part where Craig White says he was just about to take up arms himself when "the cavalry arrived". Whew.
