Outspoken actress Susan Sarandon has lashed out at American TV coverage of the war in Iraq - claiming viewers are being subjected to pro-US President George W. Bush propaganda. The Banger Sisters star says it wasn't until she was on location in Toronto, Canada, last winter that it became clear to her the conflict was being falsely reported in her home country. She says, "I was in Canada when this was happening and if you're outside the country you get a very different perspective on the way things are working. You get news from around the world." The vocal anti-war protestor also brought a new issue to the fore - claiming billions of dollars are being cut from American war veterans' benefits in order to pay for the war. She continues, "The thing I want to focus on now is making sure that the veterans of these wars and of wars past do not suffer from those budget cuts that this administration has put into the budget, which is huge, $45 billion I believe it is over the next 10 years."

Well what can I say, I do tend to be a little rough in anything I am doing, no matter what, and I am not about to change that!
If you feel that way, well...I ain't gonna change just to be "pleasant".That's me, take it or leave it,...period.

this wilted frump doesn't deserve coverage on this site. Her opinions are easy to predict and she has nothing to offer on screen either. Well said, absolutely spot-on.

Really, you can say what you like. It's normal to be ticked at someone like Ms. Sarandon who has such gaul, but I will still try to be classey and I'll secretly cheer you on!!!

Dear Sue,
You just keep diggin' yourself in deeper & deeper. You & Timmy don't know when to shut up.
Why don't you both just stay in Canada where you can watch unbiased, international news 24/7... you wouldn't have to concern yourself w/whether or not there are budget cuts affecting the military. You could do meaningful stuff like maybe get a job in a Canadian movie.
Then again, maybe NOT! :)

Please, please stay in Canada and kiss up to Jean Chretien.

Actually, this picture was taken about 25 years ago...she looks relatively good here.
Also, with regard to her claim to have be physically in another country besides the US to get other world news opinions, I have one suggestion for her:

Where is Susan getting these numbers?I think she's spewing about the proposed tax cut. But, then again, she did call it a budget cut. She really doesn't have a clue...

She was in Toronto last winter when the conflict was being falsely reported? This is the type of statement you get from a person that has obviously been smokin to much wacky-tabacky!!!
