Rick's earlier call was chilling tonight. You could hear the stress in his voice. Shep finally ask him about it and if he was ok. Rick explained he was with troops walking down both sides of the street basically putting themselves out as targets for snipers so they could flush them out and kill them. He also said is was very quiet which was unnerving.
One of the military guys on FoxNews complimented Rick on his riveting dialogue - but that as sniper seeing him with a phone up to his ear would assume he was calling for air strikes or talking to another unit..........they WOULD NOT assume he was a news reporter!! Very scary stuff.
Shep was dumbstruck when Rick told him they had uncovered a PLO training camp earlier in the day. That's a direct tie to terrorists.
For those wondering what's up with Shep, I got the impression he was really concerned for his friend Rick and was trying to be "cool" with it while on the air.

That PLO training camp discovery is very significant. FoxNews was reporting that it is the size of Camp Pendleton. Now I was stationed at Pendleton and that is a very large base. Takes about a half hour to drive from one end to the other and that's at highway speed on I-5.

I was just saying to my husband before reading this post that of all the Fox reporters, I've been worrying this most about Rick. He sounds very, very stressed -- for good reason, of course. (Maybe Greg and Ollie having military experience helps them in this situation.) Rick's been doing an awesome job but I wish he could catch a rest somewhere for a while.
