Operation Iraqi Freedom
This thread is dedicated to the brave men and women of the
Armed Forces of the United States of America.
"Wish You Were Here"
For all the free people that still protest.
You're welcome. We protect you and you are protected by the best.
Your voice is strong and loud,
but who will fight for you? No one standing in your crowd.
We are your fathers, brothers, and sons,
wearing the boots and carrying guns.
We are the ones that leave all we own,
to make sure your future is carved in stone.
We are the ones who fight and die,
We might not be able to save the world, Well, at least we try.
We walked the paths to where we are at
and we want no choice other than that.
so when you rally your group to complain,
take a look in the back of your brain.
In order for that flag you love to fly
wars must be fought and young men must die.
We came here to fight for the ones we hold dear.
If that's not respected, we would rather stay here.
So please stop yelling, put down your signs,
and pray for those behind enemy lines.
When the conflict is over and all is well,
be thankful that we chose to go through hell.
Corporal Joshua Miles and all the boys from 3rd Battalion 2nd Marines,
Kuwait 3/9/2003

Good Morning.
This is the Daily Thread of Operation Iraqi Freedom - Situation Room - LIVE THREAD.
It is designed for general conversation about the events of the day. In depth discussion of events should be left to individual threads - but links to the threads or other articles is highly encouraged. This allows us to stay abreast of the situation in general, while also providing a means of obtaining specific information.
Please have mercy on us dial up limited FReepers! Limit the big graphics, post links instead. A brief description of what the graphic is would help! If you post graphics, please "size" them so that our browsers continue to load the rest of the thread!

"Has the major media networks reported about the childrens prison?"
I haven't seen it. Am frankly suprised that this didn't get big play. It is a wonderful story.
To: Chemist_Geek
Yep. It gave a whole new meaning and not a very favorable one to the cognomen Baghdad Broadcasting Corporation!

Colmes is hanging his hat on the "pre-election" vote which, of course, was meaningless. If the RNC doesn't save and use all the tape of Daschle/Pelosi/et al for campaign spots in 2004, they should all be fired.
To: babaloo
Yes, he is in meltdown. But its good, he is showing what the Dem playbook will be. All of a sudden, Pelosi and Kerry and all the rest are "for the war". Next he will claim the peace protestors were for it too!

Allan Combes is having a meltdown attacking Michael Reagan. He is grasping for straws lol. I had a real long workday today so I may not have seen enough to know, but I'm curious. It seems like the Dems don't have the talking points in order yet......Perhaps they are a bit frazzled....LOL.

Excellent article! Hitchens, when he is on, is ON.
So it turns out that all the slogans of the anti-war movement were right after all. And their demands were just. "No War on Iraq," they said, and there wasn't a war on Iraq. Indeed, there was barely a "war" at all. "No Blood for Oil," they cried, and the oil wealth of Iraq has been duly rescued from attempted sabotage with scarcely a drop spilled. Of the nine oil wells set ablaze by the few desperadoes who obeyed the order, only one is still burning and the rest have been capped and doused without casualties. "Stop the War" was the call. And the "war" is indeed stopping. That's not such a bad record. An earlier anti-war demand "Give the Inspectors More Time" was also very prescient and is also about to be fulfilled in exquisite detail.

Alan Colmes is DYING. Just said Pelosi supported the war from the beginning!Colmes would support Pee Wee Herman for Secretary of Defense!

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR ... I'm watching Hannity and Colmes I would like to set the record straight to Alan Colmes and everyone of the Looney Left
Yes, many Dems Senator voted from this war .. BUT THEY SLAMMED THE PRESIDENT AND THE MILITARY IN FRONT OF THE CAMERA EVERY CHANCE THEY COULD
They NEVER took a stand .. they Dems played both sides of the fence because they were afraid of being left out and turning off their base voters
OK .. my rant is off for the moment ... carry on
