Operation Iraqi Freedom
This thread is dedicated to the brave men and women of the
Armed Forces of the United States of America.
"Wish You Were Here"
For all the free people that still protest.
You're welcome. We protect you and you are protected by the best.
Your voice is strong and loud,
but who will fight for you? No one standing in your crowd.
We are your fathers, brothers, and sons,
wearing the boots and carrying guns.
We are the ones that leave all we own,
to make sure your future is carved in stone.
We are the ones who fight and die,
We might not be able to save the world, Well, at least we try.
We walked the paths to where we are at
and we want no choice other than that.
so when you rally your group to complain,
take a look in the back of your brain.
In order for that flag you love to fly
wars must be fought and young men must die.
We came here to fight for the ones we hold dear.
If that's not respected, we would rather stay here.
So please stop yelling, put down your signs,
and pray for those behind enemy lines.
When the conflict is over and all is well,
be thankful that we chose to go through hell.
Corporal Joshua Miles and all the boys from 3rd Battalion 2nd Marines,
Kuwait 3/9/2003

Good Morning.
This is the Daily Thread of Operation Iraqi Freedom - Situation Room - LIVE THREAD.
It is designed for general conversation about the events of the day. In depth discussion of events should be left to individual threads - but links to the threads or other articles is highly encouraged. This allows us to stay abreast of the situation in general, while also providing a means of obtaining specific information.
Please have mercy on us dial up limited FReepers! Limit the big graphics, post links instead. A brief description of what the graphic is would help! If you post graphics, please "size" them so that our browsers continue to load the rest of the thread!

Special thanks to Null and Void for keeping these threads running on the weekends, Mo1 for the screamer, the AdminMods for their tolerance, mhking for the video links, Ragtime Cowgirl for her Exclusive Live Transcription Service, Fledermaus for his 15 minutes of fame, and, of course, Belly Girl...

Anybody wanna throw a pity party for the Pat Buchanan, Lew Rockwell, Justin Raimondo, DU crowd? That bunch has a pity party for themselves just about every day.

They are dragging and riding on the head of Saddam as they pull it down the road.

I WANT TO REPEAT THIS POST:
BRIT HUME: "I do not believe those Iraqi citizens were dancing on that statue because they suddenly have renewed hope about a resolution to the Palestinian problem."
GOLD! Thank God for Brit Hume.

I forgot about Spain, but I singled out the four countries because they actually sent troops, I don't know if Spain sent any. I don't think Spain did ... but the President of Spain stood by our country in liberating Iraq against the UN .. So they deserve some credit also

the DUmies are in complete denial. I went over to take a look -- you're correct. "The war's just starting...." "The real battle's in Tikrit."
What a bunch of drooling morons.

Mid East street already trying to minimize this. Brit Hume says basically, "It didn't occur to me that those people who are dancing on the statue of Saddam are thinking about the solution to the Palestinian crisis." (^;
