Yeah, why is only NBC/MSNBC privy to this information? Maybe because Andrea Mitchell is the one who got the scoop. Andrea Mitchell is pretty good...whenever I've seen her, she's always been very articulate and thorough.

I predict Brett Baier on Fox within minutes. No way a "senior admin. official" blabs to MSNBC and not to FOX.

MSNBC is quoting senior administration sources...for what it's worth.

I was tending to the opinion that he and/or son(s) were dead before, as many speculated.
But that all changed with the last video. The one in the room with the walls covered with bedsheets. Saddam, sons and four officers.
There would be no reason for the cheesy backdrop except to hide items that could indicate his location. Reminiscent of the Osama videos. IN the first one he appeared before distinctive rocks. An American geologist identified the location - then blabbed about it on CNN. After that, Osama appeared in houses, some with sheets, even a fake painted scenery background I recall.
Plus, did you see the faces of the people at the meeting? The sons looked forlorn. One general stared strangely into the camera, trying to communicate something. Saddam showed no anxiety, he was smoking a cigar, laughing. I guess he always imagined himself going like this or something. Or just didn't care.

Not Baghdad Bob - he's so goofy I kinda have gotten to where I'd miss him.
I think he needs his own Vegas show. He can wear his uniform and have the backdrop, while giving his speech. He'd get rich, and people would crack up.

"Yes, so we've narrowed this down to three possibilities... Saddam may have been killed today. Then again, he may have been killed earlier. Then again, he may still be alive." Those would be my choices! ;)
The latter may be broken up into three more possibilities. Saddam is still in Baghdad, he's in his home town (forgot the name!), or he left before the war started. That should narrow it down further.
