Illbay pointed out that the comment from the Uncle was bogus. I don't have any credible links to whether Tom did or did not say that. I'll concede this one to Illbay unless someone has a link?

I've heard it said before, I've challenged those to come up with a link, and no one has been able to do so, citing "other threads" where they read it.

My suspicion is that Tom Smart may have at one time said it was a "beauiful story" the way everyone has been supported, and pitched in to help find Elizabeth. And that remark was taken out of context and spun by folks on FR who cannot STAND the truth that bad things happen to good people, and want to make something sordid and evil out of the actions of a good, solid and god-fearing family.
