Col. Hunt said last nite, it was symbolically over--we have Saddam's main palace, major airport. Now, it's just a matter of waiting for capitulation and taking out isolated resistence. The daily "battles" will go on a while, but for all intents and purposes, the Battle for Bagdad is won.

Top of the mornin' to you. Blood flowing to the nether regions again? I hate it when I fall asleep in a chair. I slept like a rock last night, and have a pile of work to do today, so will have to push away from the coverage. The coverage (and FR) is addictive, and I have to remove myself from it, otherwise I get sucked in!

A pivotal day in the scheme of things. Occupation and staying in the palace, taking of Information Ministry, and toppling the statue are huge symbolic events. Lots of fighting to go, no doubt, and God be with our troops keeping them in clear mind. May He provide comfort and rich blessings to the families of the fallen.
