AP Article reads as though some folks outside of Iraq are suffering shock and disbelief. That's close enough to shock and awe for me.

MSNBC now reporting possible finding of blister and nerve agents, trying to be hidden by regime.

We'll know this is moving from a mostly military phase to a mostly political phase when reports of WMD are being discussed AS ACCEPTED FACT by politicians.

I hope they "commandeer" several dry cleaners and laundromats while they're at it. Wash out those stinky BDUs while they're there. Its no good getting a shower if you have to change back into nasty clothes.

I think they're insulted about our guys using the palace. If they're shelling the palace, we can find out where they are & take them out.

I would imagine the palace is one of the safer places to be, having bunkers, etc. IRaqi forces who are doing the shelling are giving up their position, and we have A-10's in the air. It's a serious fight, yes, and everybody's life is at risk.

President Backbone Love of America dares to speak its name--and wins a war.

Last Thursday night Tom Brokaw carried a war report that featured an American GI who'd been shot in the leg outside Baghdad. They showed him being treated in the field on a gurney. His pants had been cut away, and you could see his shorts. They were red, white and blue. They had stars and stripes like a flag. And one of the soldiers treating him looked up and smiled. "Nice shorts," he said.

I don't know why the soldier with the patriotic shorts left me both moved and amused, but it did. This guy, this GI, this macho young man with his humorous, spirited statement . . .
