If memory serves me correctly he was NBC's "SCUD STUD" during GulfWar1.

Since he spend a lot of face time on the History Channel, perhaps {his/their} camp is trying to lend a reconizable face {hence a form of instant "crediablity"} to their warped school of thought.......
