You know when you start seeing those statues being erected it is time to think about fleeing your country. When the murals start popping up all over, you just got to know, bad things are on the horizon.... I don't know who to ping (if someone could help out I would appreciate it), but this needs to be nominated for quote of the day!

pretty, pretty, glock! (^:
Look what regular people were doing today:
It was truly a wonderful rally - the surprise of the day I think was the appearance on the stage of Mrs. Tommy Franks.
The most heart-rending was the message read from William Buesing, father of Marine Brian Buesing of Cedar Key, who explained why he turned down the invitation to attend: that at the very time of the rally he would be present at the funeral services for his son. Nevertheless, his words concerning his son's committment and courage were both inspiring and touching. I wasn't the only one with tears in my eyes.

Kirk: Bones, what about Ensign Ali?
McCoy: He's dead again, Jim.
Kirk: Bones, Ensign Ali is dead?
McCoy: That's what I said, Jim.
Kirk: Are you sure, Bones?
McCoy: I'm a doctor, Jim. I know dead when I see it.
That was great TigersEye!

Did anyone just see the FNC alert a moment ago: War Alert: 27 British Soldiers dead - any wire reports about this, or is this just a cumulative total?
Anyone notice that the reported bomb blast 150 meters from the hotel reporters are staying in happened shortly after a live interview with the info minister?
Seperatley, the Bag Cams being out is VERY interesting...
To: ztiworoh
You obviously haven't been pinged! : )
To: ztiworoh
"Pinging" is adding screen names in the "To:" field. When they go to their "new posts to you" link, the thread(s) they've been pinged to will show up.

In the Sahara during the North Africa Campaign the Brits (me late neighbor being one of them) would have the bagpipers pipe during the dark of night. They usually could get the Italians to run, and even sometimes of the Germans. Imagine being holed up in the bleak desert and hearing the pipes wailing away. Another thing he said they would do is to sleep buried in the sands during the day, breathing thru tubes. The sand kept them cool and hidden. So he said.
That is an absolutely awesome account! This would be wonderful!!! God bless the Brits!

It sounds cumulative.

If I were on another thread and wanted to get your attention I would put your name in the "TO" box. That way when you log on you would see "new posts to you" highlighted alerting you to the thread.
A ping list is the same thing, but to a whole bunch of people.

Thanks
