A large group of Iraqi soldiers are moving down a road when they hear a voice call from behind a sand dune: "One Texas soldier is better than ten Iraqi".

The Iraqi commander quickly orders 10 of his best men over the dune, whereupon a gun battle breaks out and continues for a few minutes, then silence.

The voice once again drawls: "One Texan is better than one hundred Iraqi."

Furious, the Iraqi commander sends his next best 100 troops over the dune and instantly a huge gun fight commences. After 10 minutes of battle, again silence.

The Texan voice calls out again: "One Texan is better than one thousand Iraqi."

The enraged Iraqi commander musters 1000 fighters and sends them to the other side of the dune. Rifle fire, machine guns, grenades, rockets and cannon fire ring out as a terrible battle is fought. Then silence.

Eventually one badly wounded Iraqi fighter crawls back over the dune and with his dying words tells his commander, "Don't send any more men ... it's a trap. There's two of them."

that work where I work have had their pay extended to them while on duty.
This policy varies company-to-company.

Yep, that's what happened last nite. Surrounded at the airport, so our guys retreated----right into downtown Bagdad!!!!

I am watching Fox now. It is surreal. The soldiers are entering Baghdad on live TV! My heart can't take it!

I've heard on the radio here that there are lots of companies that are either extending their employees pay while being called up or at the very least, making up the diff between the military pay and their normal salary at the company. This particular radio station morning show talk host is actually keeping a running list on his web site of companies that are doing this for the soldiers called up.

When I first read about how Pvt. Lynch fought her captors, I immediately thought of this story.

FoxNews showed video of an attack by one of the Toyota Brigade...white pickemup truck with full rear cab, like a land cruiser, comes truckin' up to the Bradley...heavy fire from our guys and the pickup veers off to the right...behind some hiway underpass columns...lots of rounds from our guys hitting the columns, concrete splattering all over...the Toyoter reverses and displays its full passenger side to the volley from the Good Guys...truck veers off to the right again as it drives away, the back of the truck taking hit after hit...

Does their warranty cover this damage after 30,000 rounds???
