Video shows Saddam walking down alleged Baghdad Street. Typical Iraqi celebration with Iraqis dancing on street with guns. Saddam embracing a kid. I think you can see a fire the background from an oil well. Overcast day.

I was just getting ready to post the same thing. What is distrubing is the plume of smoke in the background. Apparently iit's from a trench fire.

So the guy is alive, or his double is. Frankly, I dont think it matters. I thought all along that IF he was alive, he would keep it a mystery until things got very rough for the regime, at which point he would make a glorious appearance, to bolster faltering confidence.

There's no way that can be recent - Saddam would NEVER walk down the middle of the street knowing that Americans are so close.
I'll bet this is right after the cease-fire of Gulf War I.

No, but he has people around him with guns dancing in the street. You think you would want your leader not around people with guns given all the CIA operatives out there in Baghdad.

It surely ain't Sadam. Unless he's committing suicide. Good double though. Hope our special ops guys take out the double, would be cool seeing on live TV...even though it ain't Sadam it'd send a good message.

We have special ops in Baghdad. I would bet they are arab or arab looking and could fit in. This is not recent and I am willing to bet it is after the 91 gulf war.

Speaking of Doubles, this just in....
This morning a general called in all of Saddam's body doubles. He said "I've got some good news and I've got some bad news."
The good news is Saddam is still alive and you've all still got a job. The bad news is he's lost his left arm and leg.
Imagine Piece- a piece of Saddam here, a piece of Saddam there.
