Video shows Saddam walking down alleged Baghdad Street. Typical Iraqi celebration with Iraqis dancing on street with guns. Saddam embracing a kid. I think you can see a fire the background from an oil well. Overcast day.

I saw part of this. The part I saw, at least, is like the other "recent" tape. He doesn't move his left arm much at all anymore.

(If true, Hitler parallels continue to abound.)

Too bad it's dark in Iraq 12:30 pm + 8:30 Baghdad.
But if it were light out, bombs away.

It's fake; people are not allowed to TOUCH Saddam.......EVER. He's scared to death of germs, etc.

This double seems to be moving his left arm freely -- to lift a baby, to make motions with his hands, etc. They are looking the tape for the most part now, over and over again.

Deception is key with these people.

Was there any significant landmarks in the background that we could refer to, such as, something we've since bombed?

Did anybody else see the guy in the tape they're playing that is one of the reporters that is now in Qatar at Centcom briefings? He's a dark skinned man with white hair and moustache. I'm sure it was the same guy and he was just in the clip they showed.

It ought to be easy enough to find out if this happened today, whoever it is. I'm sure we have pretty good ongoing satellite coverage of Baghdad right now. Take a look and see if there were any throngs milling along the streets as shown.

I am not familiar with Baghdad. However, there is a statue of what appears to be a falcon near a river and there are some descript stores that you can see in the background. U.S. intelligence could totally figure our where it was taken.

There he was just a-walkin' down the street
Singin' do-wah diddy-diddy down diddy-do
Poppin' his lackies and a-whippin' on their feet
Singin' do-wah diddy-diddy down diddy-do
he looked good, he looked fine,
he looked good, he looked fine 'cept he's clearly lost his mind
