Video shows Saddam walking down alleged Baghdad Street. Typical Iraqi celebration with Iraqis dancing on street with guns. Saddam embracing a kid. I think you can see a fire the background from an oil well. Overcast day.

"...Saddam would NEVER walk down the middle of the street knowing that Americans are so close."
Especially since he knows SOMEONE almost had him pegged the lst night!! He knows he is being watched, and besides being paranoid, he knows someone is out to get him. He would NEVER risk sniper fire, spotter for our planes, etc. That group of people looks awfully similar to Fetayeen. That oil fire could have been set much earlier on purpose just for photo before war.
He would never let crowd get close enough to touch him either. I think it was staged either by a double or before war.

I have read that your ears are like fingerprints. That no pair of ears are exactly like anyone elses ears. I doubt that SD had his doubles' ears done.
They should find photos of the old goat, son of a yellow eyed dog, slack-butted, droopy faced pig and take a good look at his ears and compare them to the swaggering fool being "felt off" by the general population today in the streets of Baghdad.
I do not believe SD would ever let the tedious unwashed masses touch him like that--under any circumstances, ever.

"...traffic on the streets....."
Exactly! Knowing we have operatives in there? No way would he ever, ever do that!
Old picture - probably after '91 war.

Those people are dressed rather warmly for the weather in Iraq yesterday/today.

As posted on a seperate thread on this issue, that the moderator decided to pull, I made mention of the fastest facial hair in Iraq... The body guard... His mustache grew quite long since last week, and since before the war started... Take a look the next time you see the video...

"...had heavy jackets on!"
Right. And most of those jackets look military colors, olive and drab. He looks so much younger, too.

Has anyone noticed that the trees in the background have no leaves not even a hint of buds? With all the sun and heat you would think the trees would at least be budding. Ours are and it's been cold here.

Thanks. That was an interesting read.

Hey! I assume and hope we're just joshing each other. There's plenty I like. It's just the general concept I'm not so hot on. Pace.

Yeah, it would be a good and serviceable idea for us to gather up ALL Saddams and ALL doubles for a war crimes tribunal and, to honor SH's regime as being so good at deception, pretend we're all confused as to which is the real one, and sentence them all to death, in a kind of aborted "To Tell the Truth".

I have looked at the footage over and over again about 20 times.
There is no way that it is Saddam.
That's the same guy who appeared on TV reading from the notepad the first night. What is the reason for thinking that the guy with the notepad wasn't Saddam?
To: Mitchell
What is the reason for thinking that the guy with the notepad wasn't Saddam? Because he looked like the guy in the street today
not like Saddam.
