We have to go back to Congress in any case. Nothing much will haphen here until after the '04 elections. We will deal with Korea via pressure from China, and it might be the case that we have to undertake some sort of preemptive strike. After the elections it will be Iran, not Syria, if you ask me. If Syria or Iran do something stupid, then all bets are off. We will no doubt try to assist any internal revolution in Iran. We will be a presence in Iraq for years.

Japan would be more likely to make any strike on N Korea. The North Korean People are in just utter devestation. Like Iraq, the army and the weapons programs get the money. The ordinary people live a horrible existence.
