Me too Prairie. She was probably a civilian hostage used as a draw for soldiers to approach the vehicle. Sad.

Here's Sky Guy How come not defended as much if it was a "jewel of the crown"...how may you exploit the airport and the name?
A: There were some defensive forces around it...seen air defences located there....caught the Iraqis unprepared...airport gives us a number of things...it is an airport...can be used for operations...for current military and for future....most important was preserved.
