Me too Prairie. She was probably a civilian hostage used as a draw for soldiers to approach the vehicle. Sad.

Here's Sky Guy How come not defended as much if it was a "jewel of the crown"...how may you exploit the airport and the name?

A: There were some defensive forces around it...seen air defences located there....caught the Iraqis unprepared...airport gives us a number of things...it is an airport...can be used for operations...for current military and for future....most important was preserved.

Jessica Lynch asked her mother if she made the hometown paper.

Her mother told her "I think you did a little better than that".

Jessica, presently on IV's, put in an order for turkey, applesauce and carrots. Always a good sign.
