Question about cluster munitions...appears to be a haphazard application...have you used MOM yet?
A: I've emphasized our targeting as precise and deliberate and unparalleled. There are wide variety of munitions. Cluster munitions are used for operation-------.
Humanitarian packages have changed color.

Question about if you've been impressed with the British performance
A: We're proud to be part of the coalition. Lots of expertise blended in for greater effectiveness. We are learning from each other. We learn, make adjustments according to battlefield. We learn from the Brits, they learn from us.

There is a nice
thread about that story.

The press is subdued. Finally, the spankings are having an effect.
CENTCOM denies having any hand in shutting off the power grid. That one bugs me.

Sargent General Brocks, we know that the military must have screwed this up......so which is it?
1) Too many troops?
2) Too few troops?
3) This is not really Iraq?
4) All of the above?
General Brooks.....shakes head and asks for the next question......

We didn't do it re the blackout.
Helen wannabe (AP) have you gotten into the inner ring, if so, since you got that far w/out too much resistance, what does that tell you. And do you need to control B-dad?
A:We did encounter fights. We don't ever seek to fight as an even exchange. We expect to fight with advantage. We are deliberate with the work we do. Nothing random.

What's an NBC Training School? They teach you to talk with marbles in your mouth while asking idiotic questions -- so you can learn to emulate Tom Brokaw...

If it was Iraqis working with us that took out the power grid, the answer was truthful. If it was special ops, it'd comprise their safety.

The press doesn't know what to make of such brilliant military success. Their main understanding and knowlege base is about failure. They are gobsmacked and bumfuzzled.

Question: How far are you and where are the WMDs?
A: There's more work to do in B-dad. I'm not putting time limit when it occurs and when complete. We remain convinced that this regime has WMDs. This regime has been involved in a campaign of denial and deception. Our first efforts is to destroy regime then find WMDs.
To: prairiebreeze
Al Jokezeera: where's your proof that Syria is involved?
A: Gen. deflects.
Question about NBC facility?
A: Found only one sample that's why convinced it's just a training site. Found charts.

There is a nice thread about that story. I lifted my comment directly from that thread. Saw it reported on CNBC, and they added that the Marines who were calling the parents of their fallen comrade also wanted to assure them that their son died fighting. There is no doubt, these parents will get personal visits from their son's buddies.
I have two young boys (and one daughter) here at home. I can't imagine the pain of losing them. These Marines understand. It is moving, and uplifting.
