No, it was not a pregnant suicide bomber. She wasn't the driver, she got out of the vehicle screaming and when coalition forces approached the vehicle blew up.

What's an NBC Training School? Where communications majors turn in their brain cells for hot air.

Snowing like crazy 0720 in Central NH.

A: Whaddayathink, ya dingdong?
To: Green

Me too Prairie. She was probably a civilian hostage used as a draw for soldiers to approach the vehicle. Sad.

I saw this repeated on Kudlow and Cramer last night. Apologies if it's in here already.
Martin Savidge of CNN, embedded with the 1st Marine battalion, was talking with 4 young Marines near his foxhole this morning live on CNN. He had been telling the story of how well the Marines had been looking out for and taking care of him since the war started. He went on to tell about the many hardships the Marines had endured since the war began and how they all look after one another.
He turned to the four and said he had cleared it with their commanders and they could use his video phone to call home. The 19 year old Marine next to him asked Martin if he would allow his platoon sergeant to use his call to call his pregnant wife back home whom he had not been able to talk to in three months. A stunned Savidge who was visibly moved by the request shook his head and the young Marine ran off to get the sergeant.
Savidge recovered after a few seconds and turned back to the three young Marines still sitting with him and asked which one of them would like to call home first, the Marine closest to him responded without a moments hesitation " Sir, if is all the same to you we would like to call the parents of a buddy of ours, Lance Cpl Brian Buesing of Cedar Key, Florida who was killed on 3-23-03 near Nasiriya to see how they are doing".
At that Martin Savidge totally broke down and was unable to speak. All he could get out before signing off was "Where do they get young men like this?".

she got out of the vehicle screaming and when coalition forces approached the vehicle blew up.I know it is hard, but our guys just have to be suspicious and not succumb to these scummy tactics.

Here's Sky Guy How come not defended as much if it was a "jewel of the crown"...how may you exploit the airport and the name?
A: There were some defensive forces around it...seen air defences located there....caught the Iraqis unprepared...airport gives us a number of things...it is an airport...can be used for operations...for current military and for future....most important was preserved.
To: Cboldt
told you all this should be embedded in the opening of each day's thread

On the other hand, we have some fresh snow on the ground this morning. The politics in New England is bad enough, having snow in April is just pouring salt in the wound.

Jessica Lynch asked her mother if she made the hometown paper.
Her mother told her "I think you did a little better than that".
Jessica, presently on IV's, put in an order for turkey, applesauce and carrots. Always a good sign.

A: Encounters that are happening all over this area.

Did he say that for the first time in 15 years the religious leader was given a loud speaker to announce the call to prayer?

Yes, hopefully Jessica will heal quickly and not suffer residual complications from her physical wounds.
I'll be she gets a visit to the White House when she's recovered!
