Blackhawks go down...and the film that was distributed recently to his minions and lackeys was "Blackhawk Down," about Mogadishu. But as far as he's alive or dead, I don't know. I do know that anyone of his body doubles could do just as good of a job as Saddam.

A lot of people around here also seem to avoid display of pro-USA attitudes & pretend to be distracted by sports events. Maybe it's fear of the unknown, since the young ones who grew up during the last 30 years couldn't help but notice how 'dangerous' it could be to show outward signs of patriotism (especially when among peers).

You can hear rumblings and flashes off in the distance about every 15 seconds. This sounds like our artilary going toward the outskirts of Baghdad. I'm not sure in which the direction the camera is facing, but I would assume it to be looking south.

It sounds like a lightning storm, only instead of crackle sound, it's a low boom.

That was about a dozen in 2 seconds just now at 49 mins past the hour.

Yeah, Saddam would never think ahead and make a tape mentioning a helicopter shot down by a farmer before the event. That would require him to have a camera crew run out to a downed helicopter and have some locals dance around it to make it look like they shot it down, even though anyone with more than three brain cells knows there is NO WAY the Apache (not Blackhawk) was shot down with a single shot rifle.

Of course in the tape Saddam could only mention this ONE specific (manufactured) event, even though there are more important things to mention (deaths in the market place, resistence in Basra, pregnant suicide bombers, check point runners, etc., etc.) that would be more timely and would leave no doubt as to his status on this mortal coil.

Look, he is one with the universe, an ex-dictator, no longer drawing breath, pining for his virgins, gone to his final reward, deceased, expired, kaput, dead, gone. We won't have this verified for another few days or weeks, but you can take it to the bank.

Oh, that dude walking among the crowds? Try 1) file footage, or 2) a look-a-like. Do you REALLY think Saddam would take a stroll during the day, surrounded by crowds, with our CIA and special forces crawling all over Baghdad. Pulease...
