They were probably advised by the military not to go. She's being debriefed, and will be flown to the US as soon as possible. They'll be able to see her then. Military hospitals are not really equipped for visitors in cases like this. But, that's just speculation. I have seen similar things done in other conflicts. PFC Lynch will soon be back in the USA.

I was thinking that she may not be prepared to go back to "normal" life after this, and her parents are being told to not expect much from her at this point.
