I don't think that's it. POW's are generally returned to their families quickly after treatment and debriefing. Another story said that military counselors are already on their way to meet with the Lynches. No doubt some preparation is needed, but I suspect she'll be back in the USA by the end of the weekend...just as soon as she's stabilized enough for an ambulance flight back from Germany. The military is quite good at getting wounded soldiers back to the US to meet their families.

If she were going to be in Germany for long, the family would have flown there. No doubt people have offered to pay their plane fare.
