I agree! How will the kids ever grow up to be witty FReepers with a bagful of scathing and ironic remarks if they are not allowed to watch MST3K?

I'm here now. It's 8:10 a.m. my time. I didn't hear anything but I'm watching Japanese news right now.

AiT-was this about 10:30 last night? I was outside on the patio smoking and heard 2 small expolsions. Heard sirens off-base but none on-base so I didn't really pay any more attention.

Kamiseya is still open.

I should make clear from my first post I meant I didn't hear anything on the news. In my next post, yes I did hear something last night but didn't know it was at the the time.

You're right - I got it confused with another NSGA that did close down elsewhere.

Having just retired from the Navy and my last duty station being Yokosuka Navy Station I can tell you we have nothing in Yokohama except for a small fuel farm. There is the Military Sealift Command Headquarters in located at Army Pier in Yokohama but this is civilian operated. If there was an explosion of any sort I would think it would be of the bottle rocket type which some of the radicals in Japan use from time to time.

I just checked Kyodo and Japan Times.
There are no breaking stories that concur with the original posting made in this thread.
