quick side note...got a fast phone call from my husband, I have no idea where he was or how he called, anyways, I told him how sad I was about all the soldiers that have died, and how heavy it sits on my heart. He told me not to be sad, be proud, they died as heroes and I should never forget that. he said it would be disgraceful to their memory if i though of them with pity...now that was humbling. 374 posted on 04/03/2003 2:17 AM EST by SoldiersGirl (Land of the Free..because of the Brave)
THANK YOU SO MUCH for this, SG. God Bless your husband, and thank you, too, for the "Tribute to Military Spouses" you placed on your info page. Those who ignore the importance of military spouses have no idea of the military and why ours works so well. I also believe the desire/fantasy of that is the root of the need for "pin-up girls" that our fighting men so crave.

I just got back from a vacation that was highlighted by my brother's retirement ceremony from the Air Force.
The ceremony was heavy on the sacrifices of the family. I was so impressed and moved. The flag folding part was so great and I learned so much.
