You know, several years ago, my home group from church befriended a Kurdish family from Iraq. I didn't get to know them well, but I remember hearing the dad speak of family members killed and buried in mass graves.
I don't remember their complete story or how they got here. They eventually moved to Tennesee where they had family but then came back and I think are here now (PHX). There is a large group of, I believe Kurds, in northern PHX.
I now wish I'd paid more attention and gotten to know them better, but I had no clue at the time about what was going on with the people in Iraq. I just remember them being very soft spoken, polite and very hospitable.

Why are coalition forces receiving cheers in Baghdad?
I'll be honest I'm surprised. There is a reporter imbedded with US group in Baghdad is speaking now.

I started hearing some of the stories about the poeple in Iraq years ago .. they have been living in complete hell under Saddam ..
IMO .. once Saddam is gone and these people know he cannot hurt them any more .. you will hear the media reporting stories that will make you cry and thank the Good Lord above the we were lucky to have been born in the USA
