Syria being at the top of the terrorism list would be nothing new. They have been on the State Department's "top five" list for at least twenty years, I believe. The only thing that made them merit a lower position than the "big 3 axis" is that they have not shown a tendency to export weaponry, except of course to hit at Israel. They will assume their place pronto now, though.

I agree with you about Syria. It's been a hotbed of terrorism for years--Hezbollah being at the top of the list, but there are so many more terrorist groups that are given safe haven in Syria it's not even funny anymore.
I hope that the assessment to upgrade Syria to one of the Big Three happens very soon....and as long as we're in the neighborhood....
