I thought fatwas were bad, like a call to fight. Are they trying to tell the Iraqis to act like they are cooperating to create a ruse? Or are there good fatwas?

I think fatwas are like orders,,sort of like the pope making an ex cathedra statement ,,,some can be good. I think I shall start giving my husband and children fatwas,,think they will take me more seriously.

Fatwa:
A legal opinion or ruling issued by an Islamic scholar.
I guess it can be anything but I think it holds a special religious meaning in that it is within the strictures of the Koran.

Fatwas are religious edicts. Can be good or bad depending on you point of view.
