Update on Fox. Forces are at Baghdad airport. From that map I saw that's just due southwest of Baghdad.

This is why FNC is #1..Murdoch don't take crap:
By GARY GENTILE
The Associated Press
Thursday, April 3, 2003; 12:07 AM
Media mogul Rupert Murdoch said Wednesday Americans have an inferiority complex about the world's opinion and that Iraqis eventually will welcome U.S. troops as liberators.
"We worry about what people think about us too much in this country. We have an inferiority complex, it seems," Murdoch said at the Milken Institute Global Conference. "I think what's important is that the world respects us, much more important than they love us."

Where does the Baghdad boundries begin? Map doesn't help present the 6 mile report otherwise. Love the map though for reference...Thanks!

I was talking about supposed live embed reports. I say that video is going through a military sensor and getting the nod to be released when the military says so. 2, 4, or 6 hours maybe? Hard to tell when they are giving the nod. As soon as battle is over.

Fox - 3rd ID firefight from a moment ago left a U.S. tank burning at the side of the road

But the embeds are engaged in real time conversation with the Fox studio, and Col. Hunt, et. al are live. Notice that when Hunt asked if they were within 20 miles of Baghdad, the embed wouldn't answer directly.

I don't think so. The information the New York anchors are say are to contemporaious, like last night asking an embedded reporter if troops had heard about Lynch's rescue which had JUST became public.

Me too, but from the weather maps I've seen, the wind is blowing South, towards us. I don't think they're going to get another chance to use them, and they know it.

yeah, but the latest embed reports only show video when they are moving with audio over the top. Static shots when they are stopped shows both embed with video and audio but not firefights or when they are moving.

Iraqi TV once again says its a lie and that Coalition forces are not closing in on Baghdad. They really are going to be playing that Monty Python skit down to the last second, it seems...
