What was the question about the Red Cross report and cluster bomb about?
To: GAGOPSWEEPTOVICTORY
Question about who's in charge?
Brooks: We can't tell who's in charge. Iraqis can't tell either. No coherent unified structure of command.
LA Slimes question: horrific scene in Hillah. What's your investigation shown?
Brooks: We don't even know if the report is true.
Question about whether cluster bombs used in this area
Brooks: munitions used are tactical
Question from Sun, UK. Where are the RG soldiers? In B-dad?
Brooks: Impossible to tell where. Some fled, some come to fight another day.
To: GAGOPSWEEPTOVICTORY
Cluster bomb is going to be the theme of the day.

These reporters and the media don't seem to realize: For every ounce of info they have, the Pentagon/President/CENTCOM have a ton. Those reporters don't realize it, but they are like kindergartners questioning a PhD Dissertation.

'Mornin' all. Where are the enemy soldiers?
BY now, many are eating dinner at home, or on their way there.

Since only 2 RG divisions are effectively taken out....we know there were several hundred thousands in the RG at the start so since only 2 divisions are effectively taken out are you saying that there are still hundreds of thousands of RG in Baghdad??? (good grief - who was that asking that question?)

Yes, we apparently cluster bombed a hospital in Hillah.
This USA Today question is idiotic... Uhhh, did you let the Republican Guard troops go free after you captured them?
To: An.American.Expatriate
Question from USA Today (she stood up today!).
Brooks describing how EPWs are treated. Sent some home who had no will to fight.
To: GAGOPSWEEPTOVICTORY

No kidding. As if *anyone* knows how many RG troops are out there--and most are at home with their wives and kids. I do like the surrender by bus.
To: MEG33
Yup. The faxes have been sent. The media will try and turn it into a weapon of mass destruction.

Imagine a barrel full of grenades dropped from a plane and dispersed over a football field.

Vince is bristling a little bit over the bombing of Baghdad question. Good for him.
To: AppyPappy
Brooks slapping at the reporter saying there is NO bombing of a city, all attacks have been precision attacks.

The Iraqis are claiming that we did. I think there's a New York Slimes article about it somewhere here.
To: An.American.Expatriate

To: prairiebreeze
If we had to retreat, where would we retreat to?

The brouhaha over cluster bombs is a direct result of not having anything else to complain about. There is no quagmire, the civilian atrocities are turning out to be the result of the Ba'ath regime, and noone's falling for the "it's soooo hot" stories they tried to float.
