There are few things more misleadingly named than the Sports Utility Vehicle, which is neither sporty nor particularly utilitarian.

When I lived out in Colorado I had ice on the road leading from my cabin six months out of the year. I'd like to see this weenie get a Prius up that - it required four wheel drive.

When I lived in Colorado, I was driving a small Toyato 4WD. It got stuck on the roads when I was going home as a blizzard was coming in. It was a driver in an SUV that stopped and picked me up and drove me into town, where I could wait out the storm. I got home safely the next day. Thank God for the SUVs!

I live in Colorado too. I moved from a farm in Tennessee where the SUV was a four-wheel drive pick-up truck to a subdivision where every air-head cell-phone using soccer-mom drives a monster SUV. These women are so distracted by the cell phone they run over curbs, telephone poles and you if you get in their way. The men driving SUV's seem to be arrogant as hell, daring you to impede their progress to the health club. They also allow their teen-agers to drive these things too. Quite frankly these people are pussies. Of course this is just my emotional reaction to barely escaping with my life day after day. BUT, this is still America and thank God you can buy whatever you want.
