DEBKAfiles exclusive intellignece sources report that Saddam Hussein, his sons and top Iraqi leadership members may no longer be in Baghdad.
It is not clear whether the rulers have gone into hiding elsewhere in the country, the Middle East or outside the region.
Some Iraqi top officials have been seen sighted in other Middle Eastern and European Capitals
The disappearance of Saddam and his following would account for the feeble resistance Iraq Special Republican Guard Divisions put up to coalition advance on the capital within the last 48 hours.

Also there was an account fro, Debka that the Syrian highway is being left open as an exit from Iraq to encourage surrender.

I tend to think that Saddam & Co. are southwest of Tikrit.

I saw where Saddam is already on the beach at his place in the south of France, soaking up a few rays.

If so, I hope they "try to run a checkpoint", ya know what I mean?

In other related news, the man in the moon has been identified as Elvis Presley, who had been thought dead since 1977.

I made a post yesterday stating that Saddam's supposed appearance on TV may be nothing more than a distraction so he could get out of Baghdad while everyone was looking for him to appear on TV.

I thought that may have happened when we watched the crazies shoot into the canal in Baghdad a couple of Sundays ago. It was diversion for something, no?

Extremely advanced intelligence:
Saw Saddam today at the Chevron station, wearing a darling little Chevron frock. The boy has already learned to turn on the pumps and swipe a credit card.
Addition sighting:
Republican Guard manning Quickie Lube next door - may invade Wendy's at lunch.

Yeah, it's debka, but I found it a little odd that Saddam's latest statement was read by a television reporter, where are the "officials" that usually read his statements.

I saw a werewolf drinking a pina colada at Trader Vic's. His hair was perfect.

One of the German papers was reporting yesterday that Saddam's first wife and three of his daughters were waiting for him in Damascus. Wouldn't surprise me in the least if he was in Syria.

I have always thought this was going to end in a siege of Tikrit. That's where the rat's warren is.

All of you are so wrong.
Saddam Hussein agreed to work as my gardner/lanscaper yesterday.
He and Uday are tending my lawn even as we speak.
Funny thing, though, he wouldn't say where Qusai was.
