The NY Post has a story, "This is the Big Battle" today which is posted on FR. I'm a bit cautious about this take on the situation. Though it is certainly important to dispatch the RG divisions, I'm concerned that the true "big battle" will instead have something to do with rooting out the henchmen in Baghdad itself.
I'm so nagged by those Russian Kornut anti-armor missiles which were apparently sold to Iraq. Grrrr... Those MUSt not have been allowable under the sanctions.

I think it must be a major objective to keep the RG from retreating back into BAG. We could probably do it with air. But this move by the 1st MEF makes me wonder if they're not going to move in for a pincer move as the 3rd ID moves up from the SW. Methinks those RG guys are sitting ducks.
