I usually like to watch Fox, but last night Rita Cosby was on the phone to the Lynch family within five minutes of them getting official notification from DoD. They do the same thing with KIAs. How would you feel if you had just found out a son or daughter had been killed in action and you no sooner get the word and your phone starts ringing off the hook with media whores who want the big scoop. This is NOT what the 1st Amendment is about.

Please clarify this post. Please tell me they did not say the last sentence! Sky guy was rambling while watching the live video of the B-52s. The civilian comment was a "natural" extension of the checkpoint discussion yesterday where the central point was that civilians were killed. Which is an outgrowth of the market bombing, etc.
LOL! I thought I'd calmed down. But I'm still steamed.

Good mooooooorning Situation Room! I didn't get logged on in time for the CentCom briefing but I did watch it. Great news about the Baghdad division being destroyed!! And of course about Jessica.
What I don't know is the status of Geraldo? Is he in or out??

The thing that really had me steamed last night after the briefing was the Sky Guy Andrew Wilson at Washington saying cynically that Washington timed this so that the main story in papers across the country would be about Jessica and not about the flap at Pentagon with Rummy and the generals. He said that with that sneer of his. Ummmm .. They own the papers not the Government .. if the want to print a story about Rummy, go for it
Just stop complaining .. they *itch there is no news to report and when there is news to report .. they *itch about that
I don't put up with that childish behavior from kids .. I sure ain't going to put up with it from them

We're trying to keep the two bull dogs (Turks & Kurds) apart. What we don't need is a mess going on up there which interferes with our operations.
Turkey has a brand new leadership. We want them to restrain their army. We are now leading the Kurd army.
We're using one bulldog to fight with us and the other bulldog to open up a transport route for us.

I wondered why so many people were sending pics this week! Keep them coming and I'll add them as soon as I can. Thank you so much for starting the photo album and for all the work you put into it! I think it's great that we get to put a face with the screen name.

The 101st is an "Air Mobile" Division - they rely on helicopters to advance, although the do have other vehicles as well. They are most effective in securing ground not otherwise reachable by "ground" forces.
The 82nd OTOH is an Airborne Division - they rely on Airplanes and parachute into enemy teritory.
Infantry and Armor Divisions (including variations - such as Cavalry) are true "ground forces" used primarily to directly confront the enemy.
Thats are very rough description, but I hope it answers some of your questions...

Nice interview, a lot of airtime!
Steve Doocy saying are people just fed up with the anti-war anti-America movement? YES!

A person in the business meeting I was at blew up this deal has been going on for two years and I will not stand down untill things are done correctly.
I think that has a lot to do with it.
