Pvt. Lynch has two broken legs, one broken arm.As I said earlier, when I look at Jessica's picture, I think my young daughter, who is a Marine Corps Staff Sergeant, and is a supply tech, like Jessica.

One of the reporters released today when asked if he was beaten said no. He also said the Iraqis beat the others in the prison. He appeared to be shaken when he said the part about the other prisoners. Even if it wasn't you be beaten it must really play on your mind to see or hear another take a brutal beating.

I cannot believe that you just made a joke about our POW's broken bones.
Shame.

Has the battle between the Republican Guard and the US been called off? Whats going on?
What happened to the Big Bad Republican Guard I've heard so much about?
CNN, Army Rangers created diversion for SEALs to snatch POW Jessica.

Fox - 3rd ID in a major move, moving again in a major push in 5 minutes. 1st Brigade is already in Karbala. Saw only minimal resistance, probably due to "shaping" before they moved forward. Currently at MOP-2 (mask at the side, jacket, pants, and boots on). Alot of anticipation to face the RG. Only a minor increase by putting boots on. Already on the move. Convoy forming up. Signal lost.

I think this is more Patton than Blitzkrieg...
Dash past the blocking force to pin and attack the main body ....
Not dash around the main force to destroy its support.
Wish I could spell 'audacity'.

Not all muslim countries are dry. There was a thread earlier about Baghdad running out of booze.

The spokesman didn't say what caused the injuries, but I'd guess that they were caused after she was apprehended. They didn't get ambushed, they just drove into an enemy tank column.

*sigh* I know how I feel about these developements. Its wonderful she was rescued, terrible she was injured. terrible that other POWS were poissibly killed in that same place. as for shame. I feel none for my post, as I often times have been known to use levity when speaking to TOL. As for someone on a board scolding me, I dont put much creedence in it, especially since you don't know me from Adam.

A photo making the rounds on Hill computers shows a group of senators pledging allegiance to the flag. All have their right hands over their hearts, except for Senate Minority Leader Tom Daschle (D-S.D), who has his left hand over his. --snip-- Daschle?s office, which has received several calls about the picture, is outraged.I don't know if a Freeper made it, but that photoshop job's been floating around here for months.

There was one former POW from Desert Storm that was on a few days ago, and he said that the regular army treated him fairly well, and generally kept to the Geneva Conventions. It was when he was handed over to the secret police that the torture really began.
