MSNBC's video accompanying Kerry Sander's report on the rescue and the two hospitals that she was kept at(they were given a tour of the facilities) showed a jail type of locking cage door on one of the hallways. Rather strange to have in just a simple 'hospital'.

CBS cam has worked great all day.
Can't see the statue now, but in daylight Saddam looks like he's waving to us.

You've missed demise of the Medina and Baghdad Divisions of the RG. Baghdad Division called DESTROYED, by CENTCOM. 3 ID making it way through the NEARLY DESTORYED Medina.
Media talking about "momentum shift." Maybe this is the "awe" part.
Echo to those who tip the hat to CIA, etc.
To: Quilla
Thank you Quilla. I wonder if Fox will go back to this guy? I had not seen him before but I am sure of the report he gave last hour. Bizarre.

No doubt the cage door was for supplies. Righhhht.

I didn't realize Jimmy Peanut was involved in the beginnings of the degradations. Not surprising. And one great big "Eyup!" about Clintoon being responsible for the occurrance of 9/11.
I read in an article, or post (disremember which) that Tony Blair begged Clinton to deal with Iraq but Willy wasn't willing to risk his political "capital". Wish I could find an article about this.

In other news Saddam's son Uday is considering a job offer from CNN to fill in for James Carville on "CROSSFIRE."
DEVELOPING
LOL! It wouldn't matter that Uday were dead or not. He could be a better replacement for Carville.

Why makes no sense at all He was afraid of being deposed in an armed coup.

Do yo think Myers and Rummy had a few beers and high-fives after the way they crushed the press? And a "Victory" hangover?
To: Cboldt

Had I been with them they would not have paid for a drink. LOL.

Cyn, most of the Brit journalists (ours as well) seem to choose to believe Al Jazeera over our Generals.
Brig. Gen. Vincent Brooks from today's CENTCOM briefing:
Re. Jessica Lynch: "Coalition forces did stage a raid last night..Nasiriah...in Saddam Hosptial...were successful..there were firefights outside of building getting in and out...no coalition casualties...we found ammo, mortars, maps, terrain model, (etc) it was being used as a military command post...involved army rangers, air force pilots, US marines and Navy SEALs...done by some of our finest warriors dedicated to never leaving (a member of theri crew) behind.
Video of Blackhawk on ground, PFC Lynch being carried to safety on stretcher...under blackout conditions in the compound itself where helicopter landed...at this point she is safe...she's been retrived..(thanks to the brave souls who risked their lives..."loyal to a creed" that they will never leave someone behind)..
"The good news is she's alive.."...for her privacy I won't go into that (her condition). "The regime was holding her." "We did unfortunately retrieve the remains of 11 persons...2 in morgue...9 outside in grave...our forces were escorted to those locations by someone taken into custody during assault"...still investigating who remains are...

She was being held by the regime. NO, she was of course not going to be fine. There's no excuse for this "reporting".

Way cool preview. Am I the only one who thinks Belly Girl and Jessica might have been separated at birth?

Does anyone have the cartoon of Rummy with the press saying "Are we there yet" over and over? I need it. Thanks.
To: Cboldt
Maybe the ultimate "shock and awe" is the realization by the American people that the news media (except FOX) are a vile network of biased liars whose reporters are unsubstantial, rude, and ignorant people.
