nominate Barry McAfferty (McAffrey?) to head the listMc Caffrey. Ex-Drug Czar under Clintoon, loyal friend of Clintoon, and genuine asswipe.
McCaffrey was the guy Meyers blasted yesterday, along with the other Clintoon ex-General (the one who ran NATO and the Kosovo operation.)

Is the duct tape tank story true? Are you sure? 9 Marines safe after being missing for over a week and no major news coverage?
More good news: FN - In spite of reports of AAA - "All the planes returned to the deck of the USS Truman today." (^:

Watch out for the Special RGI thought they were the ones that are in Baghdad. The regular old Rep. Guard couldn't be inside Baghdad proper as I understood. Why makes no sense at all

I love seeing those shots! Iraqi people are more and more willing to accept the fact that we're here till the end. I'm sure the people are getting a little more confident now that they are seeing the RG getting destroyed.

Clintoon ex-General (the one who ran NATO and the Kosovo operation.)That's Wesley Clark.
I hope they didn't leave Hackworth out of the mix. Hey's been a naysayer since day 1.

Well, Richard Perle is on record for saying the same utterly stupid things. He recently resigned from the Administration post he held because he DID stupid things, too.

Speaking of the french... here's a little break....
Another story:
A friend of mine is an officer in the naval reserve. A few weeks ago, He was attending a conference that included admirals in both the US and the French navies. At a cocktail reception, my friend found himself in a small
group that included an admiral from each of the two navies.
The French admiral started complaining that whereas Europeans learned many languages, Americans only learned English. He then asked. "Why is it that we have to speak English in these conferences rather than you have to speak French?"
Without even hesitating, the American admiral replied. "Maybe it is because we arranged it so that you did not have to learn to speak German."
The group became silent.

"I think the whole cakewalk scenerio was painted by the liberal media's pimp in chief, Bill Clinton. He mentioned that our superior military (no thanks to him) could topple Saddam's regime in five days."
Funny thing about this is, some political pundits argued that BJ said this so as to make Bush look bad knowing that the war would take awhile. I hold a different view. You have to remember that he said his use of Cruise missles greatly dimnished Iraq's ability to make war. Based on when he said -- about two days in -- it looked very possible that this thing would be over within a week. He was setting himself up to take credit for the whole damned thing! The depths of this man's dillusion is bottomless.

- General news that other Republican Guard Units are weakened
- The "pause" is either on or off, depending on who you talk to
- Couple big bombs in Baghdad, against Palaces

Baghdad Div was suspected of Chem/Bio, but any of them could have it. Watch out for the Special RG. That is the toughest bunch, and we haven't heard exactly where they lie. We know where these guys are, I am certain. By now, we have significant intelligence presence on the Baghdad streets and within some military and civilian elements. One of the overlooked benefits of our very precise bomb targeting within Baghdad is that there is a thriving bustle throughout the city during the daytime hours. They feel relative security from harm. That has enabled our spies and covert operatives to move about more widely and unobtrusively. If Baghdad was buttoned down, the intel efforts would be severely limited.
