Well put. That's my take. I thought for a nanosecond that Fox would take the high road and keep a lid on it.

Yes, FNC reported the same thing. But keep in mind that she was captured during an "ambush". One should assume there was crossfire.
She's in good hands now!

I could be wrong and will look it up , but I was under the impression it was based on a true story.

The story i've been hinting at is settling and getting out, but not by the network I was watching fumble:

On CNN, a reporter named Vinci, imbedded with the Marine unit that transported the special ops to rescue Jessica, called in on the Larry King show, to say that she suffered multiple gunshot wounds. He said they also recovered 11 bodies of dead American soldiers.
CNN news is not repeating the part about also finding the bodies, and I don't know which publication Vinci works for, if he's credible, etc. It's awful that news like that went out on Larry King...I mean, is it true? What will the impact be on families waiting on news of their missing family members?
I predict CNN will be the main casualty of this war. Their insensitivity is appalling.

Alessio Vinci (or Venci) works for CNN and has for a few years. I also heard the report. He said he was monitoring the radio(s) of Marines nearby and heard that besides Jessica Lynch, they found the bodies of nine American soldiers and two others. That's when Larry King cut him off.

thanks so much for the clarification and additional information!

It seems she's the only one who survived, and that's most probably because the Iraqi savages kept her around to rape her. But now libs (and even some FReepers) are insinuating that she's alive because she went AWOL and was never actually captured by the Iraqis. How disgusting and utterly appalling!

Larry kept saying, "Alesso, Alesso..." try to talk over him. I was so joyful when I heard that Jessica Lynch had been rescued, but my shoulders slumped and I got sick to my stomach when I heard his report.
He is a credible reporter. I'm sure other reporters are trying to confirm his reports, but he was reporting from the scene.
To: laz17
Who on earth is saying that about Jessica Lynch?
To: laz17
That's disgusting and vile, but why am I not surprised. Why can't people be joyful that she was recovered alive, rather then indulge themselves in the most base speculation? Is it some sort of perverse human nature to trash the victim?
Reports are now that she has gunshot wounds--some reports have said a gunshot wound, others have said gunshot wounds (plural). It sounds as though she was evacuated to a field hospital. Her next step would be going to Germany, I suspect, then home. I just thank God she's alive.

Dinner with Peter Arnett?

It's been hinted by some FReepers on some of the other Lynch threads. And I hear that it's also being said on DU. I can't confirm about DU because I refuse to even look at that hellhole, but it sounds right up their alley.

Disgusting.

I can't confirm about DU because I refuse to even look at that hellhole, but it sounds right up their alley. That's OK. I can. I might get in dutch with the AM but here goes. This is from a Jessica Lynch thread over on DU:
"Skeptical, You Bet... Here's a scenario. Fake MP's stop the convoy take the people to a pre-planned destination. Take the West Virginia girl back to Kuwait to wait, give the others wrong topographics, to a tame Iraqi pre-paid unit to set up a later atrocity story.
Bad news day? Trot out the young woman on a bad news day.
This stinks like a CIA Black Op mission"
Absolutely un-freakin-believable.
To: Bloody Sam Roberts
A DUer's mind and soul has been completely consumed by Satan. I could never have any kind of discussion or conversation with one of them. They are a species apart from humanity. I'd feel more in common with extraterrestrials from another galaxy.

After re-reading the post from DU, I have to say that God should be merciful with such pitiful creatures and render them non-existent so they no longer suffer from such insanity and depravity. They have a terminal spiritual disease they will not survive.
